About Pokémon Champions

Pokémon Champions

What is Pokémon Champions?
Pokémon Champions is The Pokémon Company’s official competitive title, built around VGC Doubles format. It uses a Stat Point system instead of EVs and includes Mega Evolutions in the ranked rotation.
Is it free?
Yes. The core battle and ranked experience is free to play. Some progression and cosmetic systems may use paid currencies, but competitive play is fully accessible at no cost.
What Pokémon are legal?
Most species are legal, including Megas. Legendaries and Paradox Pokémon are excluded entirely, and specific Pokémon may be restricted depending on the active regulation.
What is the meta?
The meta is the set of Pokémon, items, and strategies that win the most at any given time. Right now Sneasler, Garchomp, Incineroar, Kingambit, Basculegion, and Sinistcha sit at the top of usage and win-rate.
Why do speed tiers matter?
Doubles is largely decided by who moves first. Knowing whether you outspeed a key threat at +0 (or under Tailwind) determines whether you switch, attack, or set up that turn.
What makes a good team?
Coverage on common threats, no shared weakness across all six Pokémon, a clear win condition, and a backup plan when the win condition gets answered. Most strong teams include at least one redirector or speed-control Pokémon.
Common mistakes new players make?
Stacking six attackers with no support, ignoring speed tiers, leading the wrong pair into Trick Room, and copying a top-cut team without understanding why it works.
About BattleWise

BattleWise

What is BattleWise?
BattleWise is a competitive prep toolkit for Pokémon Champions. It bundles AI-powered team building, build generation, matchup analysis, and live tournament data into a single site.
What tools does it have?
Thirteen-plus tools: Team Builder, Build Generator, SP Optimizer, Matchup Analyzer, Counter Finder, Pre-Match Scout, AI Coach, Damage / Speed / Survival calculators, Pokédex, Movedex, Tier List, and Guides.
What is the free tier vs paid tiers?
Trainer (free) gives daily-limited access to the AI tools plus full access to data tools. Rival ($3.99/mo) raises the daily quotas. Champion ($7.99/mo) removes daily limits across every tool.
Do I need an account?
No. Most tools work without signing in. An account unlocks cloud team saves, syncing across devices, and paid plan management.
How is the data updated?
Tournament usage, win rates, and tier rankings refresh three times per day from real Champions tournament results — not stat-based estimates.
What makes BattleWise different from other sites?
Champions-native end to end. The tools account for the SP system, regulation rotations, Mega Evolutions, and the ban list — not Smogon EVs or generic VGC assumptions.
